2007 Coho Stanley Ranch Pinot Noir- Carneros

Fewer than 400 cases were produced from this Carneros vineyard. This Pinot Noir has picked up a little weight and is integrating nicely since we first tasted it about three or four months ago. It is made from grapes grown on 40year old vines. It has floral and vanilla scents, a concentrated mid-palate of dark cherry and berry, with ripe plum flavors, and a refined finish.

Tasting Notes - Focused aromas of black cherry, wild berry and enticing ripe plum aromas mingle with floral violet scents and vanilla. Rich and plush on entry, where the velvety texture of fine-grained tannins expand to reveal layered flavors of black cherry, plum and red currant in the mouth, gaining a refined dimension in the elegant finish.
