Try this inaugural chardonnay release from Etude and you'll likely wonder what took them so long. This preeminent pinot producer has created an elegant and balanced chardonnay in 2006, using fruit from their Carneros estate. On the nose it displays pleasant Meyer lemon, apple blossom and white peach aromas. Pure fruit, lively acidity and a hint of minerality characterize the palate, which also has just a whisper of cream. The wine finishes with mandarin orange and spice notes that linger.
